Virtual Antiquity

The most fascinating part of Nicholas Mirzeoff is that he wrote about the idea of virtuality before it became a reality. “Virtual Antiquity” is the terminology he used to define separating a mental state from one’s physical state. This in a sense relates to abstract art and art itself. The conceptual part of an artwork may completely differ than the physical piece or another person’s understanding of an artwork may also be different than the artist’s original intention.
